Partly Cloud has a website with an obnoxious animated header, but thankfully the same design sense has not infected the app. The iPhone app uses the clock face primarily for showing weather, but they also work in daylight hours. Unfortunately they still use a fixed fixed clock face, and some of it is hidden by a fade-out effect to address the wrap-around problem. Partly Cloudy uses consecutive rings for different types of information (wind/rain, temperature, time scale), and then uses a toggle to switch between different time scales. On the whole it’s a well designed piece of software that follows very much in the spirit of Disk Clock.
